Linguine pasta with parma ham

Ingredients for 4 people:
- 500 gr pasta ,”linguine” type
- ¼ cup finely chopped red onions
- 1 teasp. salt
- 250 ml coking cream
- 1 teasp. grated lemon peel
- 85 gr sliced raw Parma ham
- 10 fresh basil leaves
- 2 tblsp. olive oil
- ¼ cup fresh parsley leaves
- 4 fresh mint leaves
- 1 tub “Calzetti” Parmigiano Reggiano spreadable cream
- Ground pepper

 

Preparation:
Warm up well the oil in a pan.Add onion and salt. Cook for 5 minutes till the onion gets soft.Add then the cream and the grated lemon peel. Cook for a minute and take away from fire. Cut the ham in thin slices. Chop basil, mint and parsley and put them aside.Cook linguine in salted boiling water.Just before pasta is cooked, put the pan on fire so to warm the sauce.Once pasta is firm cooked add the sauce,the aromatic herbs and the parmigiano reggiano cheese.Mix well till the cheese melts.Add then the Parma ham,season with a pinch of freshly ground pepper and mix again well.Serve immediately with some other grated Parmigiano Reggiano aside.
